I loved my job in public service. As a DEA Diversion Investigator, my main duties included conducting investigations, writing inspection reports, performing security reviews, and analyzing prescription records for potential diversion by practitioners. These tasks took up much of my time, but during the day, I would receive calls and emails from registrants asking questions about record-keeping or security. I appreciated the break. Looking up regulations for registrants not only sharpened my skills but also gave me the chance to educate registrants who genuinely sought guidance on doing the right thing. Although these interactions were brief, they were equally vital for maintaining public health and safety. Regulations can be challenging to read. If you need assistance understanding them, please get in touch with me Sarah Boblenz, Senior Consultant at Brinks DEA Consulting at sarah.boblenz@sbrinksconsulting.com. I would be happy to help you.
